I have a sweet little nephew, Luke (4 years old), who really wanted a goldfish for Christmas. (well he really wanted a dog, but the goldfish was the only compromise his mom would make). So "Goldie" arrived at Christmas and was loved and treasured. Luke carried her around the house with water splashing over the sides of the bowl. He would sit on the counter where she perched and stroke her bowl and hold it on his lap. Well, as all goldfish do, Goldie died. So my sister and her hubby make late night trip to Meijer to replace poor Goldie as they do not think Luke is ready for this lesson in life and death. As the joyful Christmas seasons turns into dreary winter, Goldie loses her charm. 4 year old Luke ignores Goldie, no more food, no more cleaning the bowl, no more faithful walks and pets. So when Goldie #2 dies, my sister decides it is time to break the news to Luke. He took it well and as Luke helps flush him down the toilet, my sisters says that Goldie is in heaven now.
The next day, Luke is going potty (as all 4 year old boys do) and when he has finished, he waves good by to his poo and says to his parents: "My poop is in heaven now!" So if you ask Luke today how you get to heaven, he will reply "You have to be flushed down the toilet".
