More General Observations

Here it is quite normal for people to walk holding hands, linking arms and with arms around shoulders, Even men.
There is no concern for personal space. I am constantly apologizing for bumping into people and they do not even notice. Chinese people push and shove where they want to go and could really care less if they knock you around. It is very shocking to me despite how often it has happened.

People carry large bags, boxes etc. on their shoulders. People ride 2 to a bike, and carry large loads on their bikes everywhere.
There is order to everything, you can see the "communist" influence everywhere. There is little trash. You rarely see a homeless person. People are always working on improving something, making it look nice. This is especially true since the olympics.
